REVIEW: This was a rustic, beautiful campground right on the Matanuska River. Spaces were tight so be prepared for some fancy maneuvering. Even with our small-ish trailer and a pull-through spot we had to dodge tree limbs and big roots. But once we were parked we were in heaven. We had a lot of privacy with trees all around, a great space for Isaac to play with fire pit and picnic table, easy trails to the bathrooms, and a trail to the river right across the road. We were right on the road, by the way, so something to note for child safety.
Other things to note:
We had a decent breakfast at the Pinnacle Mtn RV and Cafe. More exciting to Isaac were the many many tractors out front and the geese out back.
We did a nice walk along the river to a private hand tram river crossing.
