HOOK-UPS: Electric

WE WENT IN: July

REVIEW: It was overcast or raining the whole time and we still loved it. The loops are easy walking with kids and there are paved or dirt trails that accommodate most strollers. We enjoyed the covered interpretive center, and imagined the magnificent views to be had on a clear day. Our site backed up to the mountain and had a good amount of space for Isaac to run around plus a picnic table and fire pit. We were separated from our neighbors by bushes and trees and space, but other sites were much closer together.

Other things to note:

  • The Curry Ridge Trail leaves from here (our kids were too small for this endeavor)

  • We appreciated the down home cooking at the McKinley View Lodge cafe just down the road (vehicle needed).

  • There are three public use cabins at this site.
